Edwards Water Under I-10
What Plumbers in Leon Springs Look at First
Plumbers in Leon Springs look at the water first. Leon Springs sits inside the San Antonio Water System's territory, over the Edwards Aquifer, which supplied about 47 percent of the water SAWS customers used in 2025. That limestone water is hard on heaters and faucets. Bergheim Plumbing comes down FM 3351 and Ralph Fair Road from Spring Branch to fix it.
Wells are nothing new here. In the early 1900s, Camp Bullis, next door, drilled wells to water as many as ten thousand troops, and a Leon Springs house off the SAWS lines can still pump its own. Know where your main shutoff is, because an old fitting like this one gives no warning.

Boerne Stage Road
Leon Springs, Stage Stop to the Dominion
Leon Springs began in 1846 as a stagecoach stop run by George von Pleve, a German immigrant, and the Aue Stagecoach Inn buildings still stand on Boerne Stage Road. The Army's Camp Bullis grew up next door, and Leon Springs grew again during World War II with activity at Camp Stanley and Camp Bullis.
The old stage stop and the newer neighborhoods off I-10 get the same deal: no charge to come out, and a price before any work. The miles on the cards run from the Aue Stagecoach Inn, which is 14.3 miles from our shop. Tell us your street when you call, and we will give you an honest arrival time for it.

Straight Answers
Leon Springs Questions, Plain Answers
Is Leon Springs on SAWS Water?
Leon Springs sits inside SAWS territory, and SAWS water comes partly from the Edwards Aquifer. On a private well instead? Tell us when you call.
Is Leon Springs Part of the City of San Antonio?
No. Leon Springs is an unincorporated community in Bexar County with no post office of its own, 19 miles northwest of downtown San Antonio.
Do You Work in the Dominion?
Yes. The Dominion is about two miles from the old Leon Springs stage stop, same truck, same price-first rule.
Why Is My Leon Springs Water Heater Running Out of Hot Water?
Scale from hard Edwards water settles in the tank and crowds out hot water. A flush may fix it; if not, a new water heater gets a price first, and a water softener slows the next round.
How Long Does It Take You to Reach Leon Springs?
About 20 minutes from the shop. You get an honest time when you call.
Is the Visit Free in Leon Springs?
Yes. There is no charge to come out, and you pay only for the work you approve.
